As if trying to sell on eBay is not without its frustrations, yesterday was extremely stressful 😂.
My hubby (my beloved dispatch man) took my items yesterday, one was an Evri parcel and the rest for the Royal Mail collection box. Can you guess what he did? Yep he posted the Evri parcel in the RM collection box.
So, I spent the last 1.5 hours of yesterday afternoon waiting for the postie to arrive and open it so I could retrieve my parcel. It is a 5pm collection but my local sorting office told me it is sometimes opened at 4 so I was there getting some very odd looks, from 3.30.
Thankfully, got my parcel back to then take to the Evri shop.
Think I need a new dispatch person, or as they say if you want a job doing.........do it yourself!

You have my sympathy 😄
Question is, why was it you who had to wait for the box to be opened?

The thing is that collection box is opened via RM from the next town. I tried to call them but the only number I could find was RM central helpline which would be a waste of time. Fortunately, I have the phone number of my local sorting office so called them and the female was really helpful and told me it is sometimes opened at 4 and she would speak to the person once they opened it (it is situated very near our sorting office) and would call me back. Absolutely great I thought.
However, when I put the phoned down I thought what if she doesn't see him, what if she forgets, what if she finishes work etc etc so that's when I decided to sit it out. My hubby did offer to sit it out for me but I am more of a worrier and have tons more patience 😄 so said I would go.
The girl at my local sorting office was fantastic, she did call me at 4 to say she hadn't forgotten about me and that's when I told her I was sitting outside the mail box. At 5, she came round to the mail box and said the guy was on his way and she would make sure I got my parcel back.
She did explain what would have happened is that they would have delivered the parcel eventually but it would have been classed as underpaid postage. The very last thing any of us want for a buyer!
