I have a franking machine, consequently I do not send my items via any ebay services. I am finding more and more addresses coming through all jumbled up and nonsensical, fortunately the post codes are correct so that I can google the correct address, very annoying.

I also use a franking machine for large letters but have not come across this problem.
I click on "Print Invoices and More" in sold items and print the sales slip which produces
an A4 sheet with name and address at the top and details of the sale underneath. The name
and address section can be removed and put in the franking machine and then taped to the envelope.

I'm guessing that your picking up your addresses by some other software?
I've not yet seen a single address that has been messed up.
So from that, I'm guessing, that the link between Ebay and the software your using is probably the issue.
Have you spoken to your software provider? You may well just need an update to it.

You should use as @firstgardencity mentions the address provided in this section to the buyer, and not one that is sent through on the email at gmail, as on occasion this can be the registered address (of when the account was set up) and not where your customer actually lives. Ebay hold 5 addresses and not all users will have updated all five, but perhaps the only one of where they currently live.
