GPSR affecting uk listing! Listing removed!

Hi all,

I received a message from eBay last Saturday stating: "Action required: Submit compliance documents to keep selling."The message further explained, "We are contacting you because you have listed products that require compliance documents. Please submit the required documents by January 31, 2025, or we will have to temporarily hide your listings until you submit the required documents."

I contacted customer service, and the agent informed me that this is related to GPSR and that the UK site would not be affected. To ensure compliance, I modified my shipping settings, excluding Northern Ireland and Europe. However, three days later, I received a reminder. I double-checked with another agent, who assured me that I could ignore it since my listings do not ship to the affected regions.

Despite this, my listing was removed entirely today—not just hidden. I contacted eBay again, and the agent said she would escalate the issue to the relevant team. I am now waiting for their response.

Additionally, I have noticed a red banner indicating that one of my listings violates a policy.

Has anyone else encountered this situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

GPSR may not be the entire problem as the account appears to not have been used for more than a year and details are probably out of date and need updating  using these links >

I’m going to have to fiddle around with postage settings for the third time. Northern Ireland was switched off backend of November and suddenly last month it resurfaced again and I had 4 orders. Also had Germany switched off and still have Germany switched off yet had a sale from there last week. No idea how they navigated around it unless they used a British address to circumnavigate around it.

I am only selling to the UK except for Northern Ireland; however, my listings are still getting removed! They are not just hidden from NI, but completely removed. eBay, could you let your sellers know what you are actually going to do with our listings?

Good luck with CS I had no success

Tried the weekly chat, they had no suggestion other than try CS

Thread above is what I think maybe the reason, who knows?

If you get a response from CS a post would be appreciated as we all seem in the dark, oh almost forgot, others are being effected as well

What was the nature of the product; i.e. was it a used toy?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
