Has anyone else had this? Since the traffic stats fault my sales have all but stopped. 1 since the 20th. That has never happened to me since I first started on Ebay a long time ago.
Has anyone else see a huge drop in that time?

Also i wanted to be nosey and see what products you sell and i got this message more than once
04-11-2025 11:39 AM
I actually believe that message is when ebay cut off sellers listings. That is why people believe their listings are being suppressed and I believe they are. There is no other explanation for no sales and then some sales with such an ON OFF effect.

I totally agree with you, have you had a sale yet this morning? still nothing for us.. 0

Not one sale. I think you’ve just found out what eBay are doing to sellers listings and suppressing them. It’s obvious
04-11-2025 12:16 PM
I think this has been going on for a few weeks, our sales are down more than 50% and we have never been like this in the last 6 years of selling, easily have 30-40 if not more sales per day.. day in day out
04-11-2025 1:15 PM
Totally agree

I dont know if they are suppressing listings (I guess otherwise but cant say), but I do know traffic/sales in general has dropped dramatically from the research tool

Theyve either lost shed loads of customers/buyers, there is tech issues or the economy is stopping people buying. Reeves is speech this morning said alot about whats coming!!

My guess is the economy (feeling of the economy despite figures).
Also doing some data digging, using multiple devices (incognito mode/vpn), shows vastly different listings depending on location for vpn in the UK, and the time of day shows our items as fairly high up on page 1 yet at say 8pm on a mobile device (again vpn) shows a completely different set of listings, dozens of repeat listings and wierd and wonderful listings unrelated to the search.

For me that rot started when the IT issues started happening. Prior to that I was having a record year. Been dire ever since.

I'm very concerned - my subscription still hasn't been paid and its now the 5th and I have a -£50 balance.. Averaging about one sale a day - something has clearly changed in the last week

Price ! is the critical factor with any sale,
the ability to compete using ebay is becoming unattainable
with multiple fees and costs making the price needed unattractive to many buyers

Plus the loaded dice of “private” sellers
05-11-2025 9:04 AM
Something that isn't helping is the latest listing layout I'm seeing.
Row of adverts at top, then user description and photo, then another row of adverts.
Finally the important items specifics are hidden away at the bottom.
I reckon many potential buyers don't scroll that far and just think it's a poorly described item.
The other frustration is being up against 'private' sellers with 3000+ listings.
Why is it I pay £92.40 a month for a shop and get 1500 total active BIN listings and have to pay listing fees above that when a private seller gets an allowance of free new listings every month and can have unlimited active BINs rolling over?
Why isn't the business shop allowance 1500 NEW listings per month with existing BINs rolling over free like private sellers get?

We are 1 million impressions down on last year so there is clearly a lack of eBay buyers. It’s the economy I’m guessing

I did ask this in the last weekly chat, with a more positive response from the team, here
It something I keep repeating to CS when calling, and in several emails to the escalation team.
Did get a response, I hope it’s true and not just placating with what we want to here.
Basic shop private seller £19.99 a month, 400 listings that rollover.
Basic shop business seller £32.40 a month 250 BIN listings and the 100 auction - no rollover.
It’s the wrong way round.

I like to keep an eye on how my listings appear and often check using incognito methods to get a correct view of them. Normally the sponsored add at the top is a narrow line. I opened a listing recently and found it took up almost the whole screen on my laptop. My listing started near the bottom of the screen. To put it politely I was not impressed. I've looked since and haven't found it again - yet. I do hope it was a one off and not ebay experimenting with how much more of my listing they can take.

On a decent monitor (2560x1440 pixels) , the sponsored ad is about 1/8 of the height and it only shows the top 3 items in list view / top 8 in gallery view before having to scroll down. Similarly on a phone.

As responses go on the community chat that was a little more positive if actually true. I'm seeing so many more businesses operating on private accounts it's ridiculous and it won't change until ebay does flip it and give business account a clear financial advantage over private accounts.

I see privates now have per item fee fixed at 10p.
30p+VAT for business sellers - how can eBay justify that difference?
