Thought I'd set this up so if anyone has other issues affecting their sales they can raise it here. These issues affect our income and Ebays so you would hope they might want to look into them.
So 1.
We sell photos, each individual, each has its own ebay ID.
Frequently we send offers out to potential buyers if they are watching items.
The issue is if the customs wants more than one if they accept the offers the transactions are seperate and they are charged full postage on each one ( a major issue for international buyers especially EU ones now ) even though we offer a combined postage discount.
If they try and buy them together it will combine postage but not allow them to get the discount.
I have raised this but I dont think they get it.
I have probably had hundred of these cases over the years so its clear the system does not work for the buyer ... how many buyers dont proceed because of this issue?
LOST income for ebay and us.
Im sure others have other issues that are affecting business so please add them on, maybe ebay will look at it?

It al depends if they are using the app or full classic site.
Ive had this so many times. If a buyer is using the app on a device mostly mobile phone there is nothing there for them to request a combined postage invoice and I think it insists that they pay for the item straight away.
I always have to refund postage then …

Thanks, Ive lost count but Ive told them that I havent had a signle example of where its works and still they do nothing. We do alot of international business and I know we lose sales because of it.

The app is just awful. It’s stifles results, You can’t combine postage. It seems to be full of adverts when you view a listing, yet people use it. Probably because many no longer use computers or laptops…
You used to be able to switch to classic site on a mobile. I don’t know if that feature is still available and if it is how many people know…
Plus you get charged for every transaction….when you can combine you only get charged for one.. I wonder who thought up that idea…

They asked for an example so I used our personal account, they could not look at it as they are only allowed to look at consierge accounts as thats our subscription, I couldnt complain as the managers are people managers and dont deal with complaints ... they wonder why people are moving away from ebay !!!!!!!!!

A simple solution would be to offer a part refund for a buyer who buys multiple items

Yes I guess most of us do. But when a person buys and pays for multiple purchases a 30p charge is added for each transaction. If all items are in a combined invoice only one charge of 30p is made…..

I have 2 ebay shops and when the Royal Mail price increase came in early April I made new postage policies with the new prices, under my business poicies. But when I appiled the new poicies, none of them updated and I got an error message.
On my other ebay shop, I was unable to revise anything with my listings and get the same error message (something like "well, this is embarassing") - I can't revise prices, quantities, photos - nothing!
I have called ebay at least 6 or 7 times now and they say it is a technical issue and they are working on it. Not only that, but each time I call, I get to speak to someone different who I then have to spend 20 minutes with them going through the problems on both accounts.
Well it's been 6 weeks now and still nothing is working. So I am losing money on everything I post and because I can't change anyting, I can't revise my stock and some buyers are buying items which no longer exsist.
ebay are useless beyond belief!

I had this issue with my policies. I know eBay created a new one for letters/large letters, and then applied it to some of my listings, but not all.
Tried to edit and clean up yesterday, too frustrating and time wasting.
Really not putting anymore effort into eBay until there is some sort of consistency.

Thats the easy bit, its the sales we lose because the buyer cant get the discount and the combined postage so dont proceed, on international sales that adds up plus on EU sales VAT is applied

Do you find that many buyers, particularly if they're new to you, don't proceed, as they can't believe "a big company like eBay" could be so stupid not to have a working system in place? Some of them seem to think the seller is trying to pull a fast one.
Why should they believe you'll provide a refund, when they've never dealt with you before?
...and this only covers the ones who get in touch. How many others give up trying, when it appears that it can't be done?

100% agree, cant understand a business like ebay having such a poor system in place that is effectively costing them lost revenue day is day out
