Once so far, bit of a weird one, was eBay.com, saw the dollar sign, left the page - I'd clicked an advert which didn't say it wasn't a UK seller. Later I received an offer and, curious as to why from the USA, I looked at it. It was apparently from the same seller, but in sterling, with it now showing in the paragraph that shows where the seller is located that it would come from Woking, UK.
I didn't know what the amount was in sterling, as I have no idea of dollar-pound exchange rates, but on looking at the page after receiving the offer it said the amount was £9.40 (or something like that).

Yes, they played with the offers recently, and as a result eBay have made things "easier" for us Brits by explaining that those funny £ signs mean pounds, and are a strange way of describing an amount that isn't a dollar - and handily converting everything into dollars for our convenience and education.

This has started to happen with Ebay message emails too, when the "reply" button is clicked.
