Yet again on a call to customer services (Closing shop, required a refund) I have been advised that I should trade on a private account to avoid seller fees. I explained that this was against UK trading laws. The agent is unaware of this.
It’s not good enough, eBay has created the divide and doing nothing to balance or encourage sellers to trade legally.

The executive escalation team are as much use as a chocolate tea pot, they all just copy and paste the help pages like you haven't already gone through those, spoke to standard CS and they are the last group before you have to go to a big boss. I hate how eBay just think copy and paste is a suitable response or sorry that's internal business info so we cant give that out when its not going to give any advantage to any competitor but a nice way for them to try and dodge the question, guess its better than just completely ignoring it.

After my experience I do agree it is another ‘handling’ exercise, like the community chat.
