Why does the seller have to pay a buyers protection fee
what does this cover and how does it work
cannot get thro to customer services
anyone else who does not like the new format lots of issues
getting paid is a nightmare always put the tracking no on the order does not make any difference still have to wait for over a week and most times when it has been. Delivered nothing is recorded on the order
all in all a nightmare

They have announced they are reducing the buyer protection fee to 10p. Also you will receive 24 hour payouts as a private seller if your account is in order. So all more positive and they have realised it must have been doing so much damage to ebay and sales

The seller does not pay a buyer protection fee. Semantically anyway - before some clever clogs explains you have to reduce your prices so in a way the seller does pay.
And all information is found here

The seller does not pay the buyers protection fee. The BUYER does, hence it's name.
It also only affect private accounts and not business. So why post something like this in the business forum, if you are indeed a private seller?
If you don't like it, then maybe you should consider changing the account your using......
Especially considering the number of Brand new items your selling.

You really are very rude
I was merely asking a question
maybe you should not be on this forum if you cannot reply constructively

Sorry I don’t understand
I have the buyers fee deducted from my item each time I sell

That's because the displayed item price has been increased by the BPF which is added on to the amount you chose to list it for. It is then deducted from the buyer's payment, hence the buyer pays it and you get the amount you put on the listing form when listing.

Maybe you should not be on this forum asking a question that only affects private sellers?
If you want to take that as being rude, go for it. It really doesn't affect me at all.
But you got the correct answer regardless.
