I received my first negative feedback in a long time today. It doesn't bother me too much and I don't see the need for removal. However I did look at the feedback that the buyer gives other sellers.
They give a large amount of negative feedback which to me seems wrong. They must be a very unlucky buyer with the amount of problems that they get. Do eBay track these type of buyers and do they get action taken against them for raising excessive negative feedback against sellers?

Negs can be open to abuse and misuse.
I once saw a feedback of "Great item great price" and it was a neg !

I recently received a negative from a buyer with 100 ish feedback with no prior contact. I messaged him and pointed out that a negative should be used as a last resort when they couldn't get a resolution from a seller. He apologised and revised. I sorted the issue to his satisfaction. Hopefully he will think twice before leaving another negative
Clearly some buyers don't understand the effect of negative / neutral feedback.

yes they do but it always helps if you can report ! ive had buyers like this too - they are just hot heads and ppl who think they can get away with it coz no one gets that much bad luck and if so then maybe they deserve it coz they carrying on this way !! but i now as a seller check buyers left feedback to see what kind of person they are - i myself have ordered alot on ebay i get sellers thats never respond etc or even mark items dispatched it does really annoy me sometimes but ive NEVER left a neg i think its unfair to the sellers anyone who does it alot is a very negative person with no consideration for others and also sometimes scammers do this too to make themselves look legit i had a scammer who had ordered loads of orders over a few months and they opened like 20 cases in one go trying to scam from me then i check their left feedback - very single feedback was neg and not one was positive ! all his feedback saying NEVER GOT ITEM NO TRACKING PLEASE REFUND - I then realised this absolute idiot does this to make himself look beleivable but actually whats hes done is brought attention to himself as a *bleep* and a scammer so i reported him ! ebay sent him to fraud team and now his accounts been suspended - he tried coming back again but i refunded straight away saying i dint have the stock - i knew he would try to scam me - so always good to report coz scammers can leave neg saying they didnt get this and that to make it look legit - but really its just a red flag and causes them to be banned ! they are so stupid alot of these scammers ! but those who are generally just dissatisfied with everything and have a need to complain about everything then they get banned too - mayeb they get away with it in real life on the roads etc or with the ppl in their life but not on ebay !! they think they can get awya with it but ebay are clamping down now . i mean yes some sellers are dodgy selling stuff that falls apart etc but no one gets that much bad luck seriously ! and if so they need to stop being such a cheapskate and expecting harrods service on items that are £1.99 !

yeah this person is clearly as scammer and ebay needs to sort them out ! i seen alot of this now - its scammers trying to make themselves look legit which i dont understand coz it just says look im scamming ! theyre seriously stupid and i always report when i see it - after you watched as many crime things as i have too you can generally tell when ppl are lying just the nonsense things they come out with !! theyre stupid thats why theyre scamming - if they had a brain they would be using their intellect to make money - and if they really had a brain and were scamming they def shouldnt leave too much negs if they really wanna get away with it - so its a good thing they the worlds dumbest criminals !!

It is impossible to protect yourself against these people. It's a case of once bitten and blocking. I used to get very upset on receiving a negative feedback but whilst I do everything to prevent this I realised that people will be people and you just have to take it on the chin and put your efforts into the good buyers
it would help if eBay could put in place a scheme to restrict buyers from leaving feedback if say for example they leave more than a certain number of negatives in a 12 month period
just an idea not sure how it could work but I'm sure the eBay bots could work something out. If not prevention automatically maybe remove on request feedback from serial neggers

I've come across one of these lovely people recently. Got a no contact neg from her and checked her feedback left for others.
All her feedback left for others going back more than a year is negative or neutral, some with conflicting comments, bar one.
Despite eBay having a rule about buyers leaving a high proportion of bad feedback, they're not interested in removing it.

The Neg-Eggs are out in force atm
We are having a nightmare recently with buyer feedback. We had a buyer accuse me of being a terroirst sympasher recently and supporting Isreal becuase our World Maps didnt have Palestine on ( We don't print the maps) On the comments it said 'This account is a terrorist supporter of isreal and brainwashing kids to not reconise Palestine. Nothing about the Product just a 'Oh we will remove the comment'
Another one a Buyer asked for a refund (to cancel) before the expected delivery date, we sent a replacement and a free poster, still got negative feedback.
Recently there seems to be a lot of impitent and demanding customers, as I have quite a lot too recently been threatened with Negative Feedbacks unless certain demands are met, eBay dont seem interested and they seem to have been really come down on from Manegment ref feedback as nothing is being removed, not even when Policies are broke.

Recently I sold an item and as customary I inspect a Buyers "Feedback Left for Others", upon opening the buyers feedback for others, my first thought was this guy is Color Blind, NO, just kidding, I opened to 200, and counted 149 Negatives for Others, but still if he was Color Blind, his Feedback for Others was still Unsatisfactory, in my opinion. So my next thought was "How do I dodge this Bullet ", well I sale Airguns too, and in the past I have had to Cancel orders due to an Address that I don't ship too, So after thinking about it for a while, I did something I've never done before, I canceled his order based on Unsatisfactory Feedback, "Chose Issue with Buyers Address" Refunded his money, Put him On my BLOCK LIST, and made no attempt to contact him, of course eBays' stance on this is Give the Poor Little Scammer a chance, My stance is NIP these Guys at the Bud. After 10 days he gave me a Surprise Negative, you can read his Tear Jerking Saga of how I left him Hanging, also can you feel all the Remorse I'm Feeling Right Now, LOL, well eBay would not remove the feedback, and yes they really did say I should have given him a Chance, well I gave a reply to his Negative along with his Username, so if you're a seller or a buyer who thanks he may sell something in the Future, check out my feedback received as a Seller this guy is one of the best candidates I've ever seen for the BLOCK LIST

Similar experience on my other account. Buyer didn't want to pay global shipping charge and became abusive, so cancelled the order. Buyer left a negative accusing us of being scammers, and we were amateurs. Despite 22 years on here with no previous negatives, we can't get it removed.

you should have cancelled with - buyer did not pay.

That's the problem, he did pay, so a UK rep advised me to cancel with 'problem with buyer's address' which was completely the wrong advice.

I only ever get negative feedback for low ticket items. Sometimes they require a bit of communication to get them to fit correctly. Obviously it's our fault if the customer does not communicate at all.

There should be no place on this platform for Professional Complainants like this. I for one would like to see them suspended for a month at least or removed.

That one person who got positive must be an unbelievable seller 😂

I had a buyer who gave me negitive feedback as he claimed he did not recive a item, but looking at tracking it was delivered after he contacted me so then with the 6 other items he bought he decided to give negitive feedback and ebay did nothing about it

I don't get many negative feedback, however I block any buyer who leaves me either a negative or a neutral feedback. I really think it is unneccessary for a buyer to leave me with feedback other than positive, as I always try to help out. I always reply to these negative feedback with an apology, as if you reply with negative words other buyers will see you as someone they do not want to do business with. Also I have 'make offer' on all my listings. The reason being that before I accept an offer I always check the feedback they left others and if they leave negative feedbacks and it is clear from the feedback wording that they have not contacted the seller before leaving the feedback, I also block these buyers
