As title buyer sent me expletive messages through eBay and then left feedback saying item was too small even though dimensions are clearly stated on the listing. EBay did nothing about the expletive messages or the feedback. No wonder sellers are packing in eBay. I’m seriously considering leaving this platform and concentrating on my far better performing online platforms. It’s just not worth the hassle selling here I feel and you get zero back up from eBay. How can anyone be allowed to message you foul language ?

Whilst eBay do not interfere or admonish any ' private' messages going through their system if foul language was in the feedback it would be removed.
You're in luck.
The CS agent you spoke to didn't know eBay feedback rules very well, as your buyer mentions a case twice and mentioning anything about a refund , case or any eBay involvement breaks feedback rules and is a case for removal.
Contact Customer Services again, but Only very first thing in the morning when the lines first open at 8 a.m. on weekdays, there's more chance of Dublin answering. Politely quote the rules that a case has been mentioned in the feedback this breaks those rules, can they please remove it.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
As said, I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
You have an amazing amount of good sales and a shooting star feedback and you are only affected so bad to the point of wanting to quit because you are a conscientious good seller, it'd be water off a duck's back if you didn't care.
The saying ' Keep Calm and Carry on' should b a mantra when selling on eBay. We will all get that bad apple sooner or later, thankfully the good apples outweigh the bad ! 🤗

Mentioning disputes, however obliquely, no longer features in the feedback removal policy.

No you shouldn’t and they should be removed from the platform.
It’s not so easy to get over abuse for no justifiable reason.
I had one once. She was vile. Went on to fb groups slating me off which I got removed. Did get EBay involved. they removed her for a week. She then came back with a vengeance and eBay were involved again.
I was left shaken for quite a while and in my opinion she should have been banned for good…
Luckily in all my years I’ve only ever had 2 bad experiences including this one and you get tempted to quit but in my eyes if you quit they win….

I have found the best way to get unhelpful CS staff to understand the problem of disgusting messages or feedback is to read the message/feedback out loud to them in a calm, reasonable and polite voice. They then have a choice between saying "Stop, I don't have to listen to this filth, I'll report you", or "Stop, I see what you mean, I'll report the buyer immediately".
Unfortunately, most reports are dealt with by AI - and the AI rules that let the original filth slip through in the first place, will not spot the problem when dealing with reports.
