How to access bike warranty when seller doesn't talk to you ?

When did you buy this and when was it delivered, was the seller PRIVATE or registered as a BUSINESS?.More info needed but no personal details.
Sadly,warranties/guarantee's sometimes mean zilch on this site .How did you pay ,by debit or credit card ?.

Assuming that what you actually mean, is the manufacturers warranty, then you should have filled in the card etc when you bought the bike and sent it to the manufacturer.
However, assuming that you still have proof of purchase and it is valid, then I would imagine that all you need to do, is to contact the manufacturer.
But you really need to expand on what has actually happened, as the above is just guessing based on the 11 words you wrote!

I purchased the bike on 02/04/25 via ebay. I tried to return it after having it in my possession for just under 3 weeks. I was then informed that i only had a 2 week period to be able to send it back, so the seller denied my returns request, eventhough i begged him, explaining that the bike was just way too heavy for me and that i was struggling with it. Before this, I had talked to the seller over a few days to explain that he had given me the wrong mudguards, as you had to fit a wheel yourself, and i had to wait about another week to get the correct ones from the seller before using the bike, so i would have been within the 2 weeks as specified by the seller's listing. He completely ignored all of my messages after denying my returns request. I then started to experience issues with the electric part of the bike, specifically the throttle and pedal assit, as they were not operating correctly and randomly cutting out. I told him that I had taken video proof of this issue and asked for an email address to show him the problem, but still no answer. The seller has not answered any of my message requests for help with this issue. I tried to contact the manufacturer of the samebike company and they said its down to the seller to help with the warrenty. This is why i need help from yourselves, which iv been trying to do via emails for weeks now. Why cant anyone tell me categorically who is responsible for faults with this bike and how i actually go about doing that ! Please can you help me ? And can you explain why the seller isn't responsible for the warranty as iv only had the bike for under 2 months and why he can completely ignore my requests for help ? Hope to hear back from you soon. Thank you.

It sounds like theseller is a business, in which case you have a warranty / guarantee etc. Just contact eBay and explain. You may even end up with a full refund and keeping the bike, but that's up to the seller. Don't give up - it may take some time to sort but eBay will step in and help. If the seller is registered as 'Private', you still need to conact eBay and complain. They may be registered incorrectly to avoid seller fees, so eBay will help you. Good luck!

Correct it is the seller responsibility if they are a business, The 2 weeks you where told by the seller is incorrect. It was sold on ebay so you have 30 days from date of delivery to return it. The goods are faulty if you have not open a case as long as your within 30 days.
But from you reply sound your outside the 30 days so ultimately this will lead to a Small claims court action. if you need help with that come back to us here.
eBay Customer Service this the link to get them to call you.
Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
And getting more sense out of them

If this is a road legal electric bike the electric motor assist will cut out at 15.5mph; if that is what is happening it is doing so by design and is not a fault.
However, if you are sure you have received a faulty item you need to check the seller's "about" page. You can do this by clicking on their eBay user ID where it will show whether they are registered as a business seller or a private seller. If they are registered as a business seller it will show their business details including the business name and trading address (don't post those details here).
So, the first question - which only requires a yes or no answer - is the seller registered as a business seller?

It likely is registered as a private seller then.
As such, you have pretty much a cats chance in hell of getting very far with it.
You could try and raise a case via ebay support, but if they are a private seller, then they have no legal obligation to cover it. This is why there is such a furore about the many sellers who are using private accounts to sell on. They are doing so illegally.
Any kind of manufacturers warranty will also not be valid because of the above.
Your best bet is probably to resell the bike privately to be honest.
You can check the account status (business/private), by going to one of their listings.
Click into the listing and on a PC, by the sellers name it will state Business or private.
App will be slightly different.

Yes its a business. Although when I spoke with ebay representatives via 2 phone calls, they said he was a private seller.
What does it say on the seller's eBay profile? eBay's customer service representatives often haven't got a clue what they are talking about.

When you purchase from a business you have statutory consumer rights that are enshrined in law. When you purchase from a private seller you have no consumer rights; you still have some rights but they are nigh on impossible to enforce. That is why knowing what the seller's account type is registered as - i.e. business or private - is so important.

Go and check the sellers account.
What does it actually say?

It says business details. Can I show you a screenshot ?
No, you can't post other people's details here.
Is there a line that states "CRN" followed by a number; i.e. are they a registered company like a ltd company? Or, is it just someone's name and a trading name?

You won't be able to post the seller's details here.
What you need to determine right now is whether the business is a registered company or not. This is because it is much easier to force a registered company to pay up than a sole trader should you need to make a small claim.
If the seller is a registered company the last line of their business details should be a line starting "CRN" followed by a number; is that line there?

If it's a private seller I assume the buyer would of paid the 'Buyer Protection Fee' in which case he should be given more assistance from eBay maybe 🤔
