Automatic Sending of Offers

Can anyone please help me find how I get to see all the sales where eBay is automatically sending offers. Once again despite never selecting this somehow eBay keeps doing this and now I cannot amend anything in the listing for 4 days. The help pages read (see below) but in my seller hub the only search section is to search on eBay for specific items.

To turn off automatic seller initiated offers

  1. Go to Seller Hub.
  2. In the Search section, select the All statuses dropdown and filter for "With offers sending automatically".
  3. Select Search.
  4. Select View offer settings.
  5. Select the > symbol next to Automatically send offers.
  6. Set the blue switch next to Automatically send offers to Off.
  7. Select Done.
  8. Select Update offer settings.

I use this link:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/lst/active?offers=automatedOffers&source=filterbar&action=search

It's just a shortcut to Listings > Filter by > Offers > Offers Sending Automatically

You can then use the arrow beside 'Edit' on each item and click 'View Offer Settings' to remove/edit

The bad news is that loads of eBay "help" is out of date.

The page that you get to if you want to learn more about the changes on Feb 4th still tell you that eBasy will pay directly into your bank account!

The problem is, not that Ebay has switched it back on, but the defaults get reset every now and again when sending offers.

So more than likely you have just not noticed that instead saying off, they are saying on!  And until you do notice, you will keep adding to the auto offers.

I got caught out again with this a couple of days ago.  Which is most annoying.

@knit-in-styles

I agree it is infuriating!

Can we have a blanket opt in/out on this instead of having to check daily, or individually edit listings?
Tedious, and  time consuming.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried all the links in the suggestions. The link in reply to post 2 tells me I have no active listings.😡

The suggestion to go Orders I am afraid I do not have an "All Selling" option in the dropdown.

Honestly the amount of time you waste trying to do something so simple is ridiculous. And whilst I am ranting why on earth do I have to keep signing in everytime I visit these boards.

I have to ask now, why exactly do you think that Ebay is sending offers out?

Just because your not able to edit a listing properly?

If you have filtered your listings to show those with automatic offers and it is coming up blank, then you cannot be sending automatic offers.

You are aware, that once you send an offer, the listing is partially locked?  Or indeed if a customer makes an offer, then same is true?

Could it simply be that this is what has happened?

Automatic Sending of Offers

I have two items that I recently sold (not with offers) and where I have not sent any offers. I cannot amend the listings as I want to add more stock but need to add new pictures which obviously I cannot do as when I click review offers it is showing that 2 offers have been sent out. It looks like the offers were sent out at the time of the sale.

The listings have not ended but it is showing zero stock.

Ok, so from where you can see those offers (see screen print), on the right hand side, there is a "Change offer settings" button.

Click that and it will bring up a screen on the right, called "offer settings".

On the bottom half of that page you will see "Send offers to Buyers".  If it is set to automatic, it will say on (As per the next screen print).

Click on the "On" and on the next page, switch it off.

Click done AND then click update offer settings.

That should sort it out, but you need to do this on every listing that is sending.

Thanks again for your help. Yes I am aware of that path but again I cannot view anything in there as it just reads

Receive offers from buyers

Buyers interested in your item can make you offers – you can accept, counter or decline. Buyers interested in your item can make you offers – you can accept, counter or decline.

These settings can't be updated while offers are pending

Ok, then you need to wait until the offer expires.  The only other alternative, is to end/relist.
