Hold the Busby up to the light, Alan. If it's printed it will be ingrained onto the paper just like any typed ink on any letter with no indentation or anything like that (excuse my lack of autograph tech speak). I have a feeling it is handsigned though because there are quite alot of hand signed replies like this from Busby around from the 1960's/70's/80's when he was manager right up til he became the club ambassador. He seemed to send these out a fair bit throughout his United career probably down the the fact there would have been nowhere near the volume of mail or 'fanmail' heading to Old Trafford between 1950's-1980's than there is nowadays so he had the time for more personal responses. Les Olive did the typing and Sir Matt signed the letters off. That's how it seemed to work. I know most letters coming from Sir Alex Ferguson nowadays come with a printed sig.
clubcards from back then Alan were genuine and not stamped so id be surprised if those ones were, a few people I know have that mike phelan one from when they wrote and they came signed in a brio the same as those so id say genuine
