tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

sent to Tony 2 weeks ago and recieved a letter back today saying the club doesnt accept requests for autographs any longer due to a large amount of requests and lots of autographs ending up on ebay due to dealers 😞 very disappointing as this goes for all players so looks like we have another club this season that has stopped signing all together.

Matt.

Unlucky Matt.

We have more than the one address that works for Banks.

"He who Dares" in this game.

bad luck that

The question is how much are dealers making from Stoke City player autographs on Ebay? ?:|?:|

Great result for them today though B-)

Re: tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

That's a shame. Being honest, I am surprised this does not happen more often. Although there are many good collectors/fans as seen on this forum, there are 1000s more who don't give a monkey about anything but the chump change they get from pretending to be a fan/collector. Despite that, I still think the solution is to flood the market with autographs constantly to make them worthless. By stopping the supply as Stoke are noe doing you drive up the demand, and the only people who benefit are those the clubs are trying to stop.

Re: tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

So many ways of looking at this. Of course those that write in to sell over and over again are not very nice.

But I really can't believe that Stoke City receive that much mail and that their autographs sell for much on here. Who do they think buys it on Ebay anyway? Stoke City fans of course!

If supply falls then more fakes will appear. Why don't Stoke City put some cheap signed photos up for sale on their website?

Sorry that you had a failure.

Re: tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

THAT IS TERRIBLE NEWS AND WONT BE LONGBEFORE ALL CLUBS FOLLOW SUIT UNFORTUNATELY.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH NIGEL AND IF EVERYONE SIGNS THE DEMAND TO BUY DECREASES SO FLOODING THE MARKET COULD BE A SOLUTION OR AS WAS ALSO STATED IF EVERY CLUB SOLD CHEAP GRAPHS, WHY BUY OF DEALER IF YOU CAN BUY CHEAPLY DIRECTLY FROM CLUB..

unlucky it really does hit the fans and seems a bit of a nonsense got to agree with those that say sell signed photo's in the shop cheap

Re: tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

Poppycock...it's an easy way out that to blame it on ebay!
Again footballers who think they are better than everyone else....
Bad luck though cant you try another route and Nigel I agree flood the market I think thats why we dont get some replies back ttm from some of the younger singers because they are easily accessible for autographs out and about so no need to ttm...

Nashville here we come !

Re: tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

Sorry to hear another club is worried about the dealers. I would have thought a true fan would go through the club and not buy from the dealers.

Re: tony pulis/stoke city failure :-(

Bad news with another club refusing autographs.
I've always felt the same as Nigel and Joe,that if a club/player is willing to sign autographs IP or TTM,that will reduce prices for dealers and cut down on forgers. The less available an autograph is the more fakes and the higher the prices are.
