I met John on a few occasions..always happy to talk football all day long. One of the true gents of the game, England, Rovers, Man Utd, Burnley and Bury...loved his days in the game...I'll miss him..had a real laugh with John when I met Paul at Preston football museum...He had a "Chippy" after his footballing days...Paul and myself queued for his graph got to the front and he asked what he could do for us...."2 lots of cod and chips" was my reply....we all had a chuckle even Andy Richie nearly fell off his chair.
