To be honest Daz any form of collecting autographs should be included but i do think if we did that could be a very big prob with fakes .But at the end of the day you have a great bunch of about 12 to 14 members who keep it going the rest eather cant be bothered or just lurkers .but you have the extre help of the mods so i guess its up tp you and the mods

richard, cant see how ip can be fake mate,i am just thinking that if we advertise the group as a ttm and ip forum,we might get more intrest?

to be honest i couldnt care either way...im more than happy with the regular members who post, a smaller set of members posting has fetched us all a bit closer to each other if you know what i mean and i think we all have a genuine interest in each others results and collections....were all a good bunch of pals with each other......

what i tried to say Daz some members on here sell there autographs on e bay i can see people saying i p sigs are real because they have been shown on the forum as the forum gives them some sort of confirmation that they are real. people are more inclined to buy off e bay when they say its i p .does that make sense?

I'd be happy just to keep the forum as it is...1680 or so non-posters have had enough chances to join in and get involved......
#3 Spot on ..Carl is it? Lol..best bunch of cyber friends you could ask for on these boards....
Wouldn't change it for anything now....almost 5 years on and we're still here.
But the decision is your Wheel......do you think it would pull more members in? and would they post ?

i was thinking of getting in new members who do ip collecting, the forum wont really change, only for the fact, that hopefully more ppl will post there ip successes, and if the group name included ip,it would attract ip collectors to join in the first place

I've no strong feelings either way, I can't see how it can hurt though
29-05-2013 7:13 PM
I can see where Richard is coming from though as there is the possibility of attracting untrustworthy dealers who may think we are group of collectors who can be easily fooled, but will be up to us to get rid of any bad eggs it attracts

we have got rid of bad eggs before , who was that guy who had 10 rio ferdinads jackanory

I would like to keep the group as it is but if you decide to change it Daz I'll go along with it .

I do not see a problem renaming the forum to a more general autograph collecting name as we already cover everything anyway, not just ttm. There is good logic to that.
I do not think you need to promote it. Anyone who is genuinely interested will find it.
Our current core group of active posters proves that quality of members far outweighs quantity of members. It is still one of the more active groups on the web, even with such a small group posting. I do not think it is broken like this, and has resulted in some great friendships which are better than any autograph successes.

ok,,thanks for the comments,,i will put the idea on hold for now,and maybe come back to it sometime in the future

Here in the States, we have a saying that would apply PERFECTLY to this situation...."if it ain't broke, don't fix it." As group owner/moderator, it is your choice to make either way, Daz. All I would suggest is that you study the idea carefully (with Group input), then make the decision. As it is now, I see no reason for change, but for all of 2 cents worth (tuppence is your term, I think), that's my thought.

Daz,as many of the previous comments have said,we have a group of about 15 members who are helping each other with their collections which I don't think would be affected if more people joined or the group title was changed.Who knows,we could even get some new regular contributors.
