Hi guys,
Just wanted to share this bit of good news with you, and as it's a Sundayi thought it would be nice to post something for you to read:)
My wife Michelle plays principal cornet for the Lincoln Beevor band http://www.beevorband.com/ and she has been invited to attend a reception for The Queens award for voluntary service:) The band are hoping to receive on OBE soon and Michelle will be the voice for the Band at the reception:) So proud of her:)

What fantastic news for Michelle's band, will Michelle be packing the cards and sharpie I have a photo of Liz I could do with her signing :-x

Funny thing about all this, is that i had a dream a couple of weeks ago about the Queen being at one of Michelle's concerts. I didn't have any index cards with me, all i had was a biro and some toilet tissue:) But the queen asked me to escort her back to her car for an autograph:) But then i woke up, so never got to find out if i got her graff lol:)

Alex..you would too wouldn't you? asking the queen for an autograph..tut tut...Hey but it was worth a try...y nan got afew when she was 100 and 105 on birthday cards 🙂
Well done Michelle...it'll be a fab day...My husband was in the Grenadier Guards so Garden Parties were always cropping up...big event..go enjoy!! Make sure you get some pictures 🙂

Jane...I wrote to the queen in 2009 got a nice letter back, a super double sided colour photo but alas no autograph....I'll find the picture for you.

Alex...we have some found memories of Christmas parties at Buckingham Palace....my husband wa sfriends witht he soldier who raises the flag at the palace and so we were alway invited to the Christmas do's the things that got pinched that evening....we ended up with a brilliant box of Christmas Crackers one year ...ha ha you wouldn't believe the gifts inside beats our crackers from Asda..ha ha I have a christmas card from the Royal Household...love your letter and Photo though it's a lovely picture.
I refused an invitation to a garden party once for Trooping the Colour it was the year my husbands regiment was doing the Troop...cause kids weren't allowed!!!! how dare they?..ha ha..didnt want to wear a hat really 🙂
