Had one reply come back across the pond ahead of the bad weather over there.

All three items I sent to Robert have come back signed. He struggled a bit with his biro, but pleased all the same. I had been planning to write to him for some time, but finding a cd of Man From U.N.C.L.E. music for 20p in a charity shop prompted me to pull my finger out. 🙂

I was surprised as well Daz. I can only put it down to the Christmas effect. I do the same each year - for the three weeks prior to Christmas, with every request sent, I also include a Christmas card to the person I am writing to.

I can see why the card may be considered softening someone up, but I actually send the cards to everyone I write to at Christmas as I think it would be rude to write a request at Christmas without sending a card.
