Have had a look around, but cannot match this signature with anyone connected to the film of the same name. Nice signature whoever it is.

I picked it up on a whim as it was only 25p, and signed in a prominent place on the title page. It was obviously not the author, and not a well known name connected with the film from what I could see. I had hoped it might be someone minor connected with the film, but have not had any luck.

Does anyone else have any ideas or recognise the signature?

got my teeth into this for 15 mins,the book,film,supporting cast,book illustrators etc etc etc,sorry,cannot find a name to match any of the autograph possibilities

Thanks Richard. I had the same result. Great looking signature, but my gut feeling is that it is just a reader of the book. If there is a connection, it must be very, very obscure.

As you said Nigel...possibley the owner of the book....

I found a copy of Michael Parkinson's autobiog a few weeks ago...nice graph in the same position on title page.....Knew it wasn't Parky's....found nothing about that one but then found another 2 books with the same graph in the charity shop...owners graph I put that down to.

seems to always be a mystery then, was wondering tho why anyone would sign their own name in their own book like that, ive seen books before with the old "this books belongs to etc" and "property of..." but never anything like that, very strange..
