Two replies via Watford FC today, one a real gobsmacked surprise. 
 
Jordon Mutch - 36 days 
 
On loan from Birmingham. Jordon kindly signed my 8x5 inch Watford card and sent two signed Birmingham promos.

Will Buckley - 57 days 
 
This was the surprise. Will kindly signed my 8x5 inch Watford card, but also sent me another signed white card, a short signed note, a signed programme, and the icing on the cake, some match worn football boots signed with signed note inside the box. 
 
Gobsmacked! I only ever ask for my Watford card to be signed. Can only think he took pity on me as in all my letters to the club over the last year or so, I explain that I no longer attend games since May 2008 due to family issues and lack of funds, and follow via tv/internet. 
 
I will definitely be sending a thank you letter back to Will, and have to work out how to display the boots (maybe with a picture or the programme).  🙂

Thanks everyone. This has to be the biggest surprise I have had with a reply. Being honest, it was not one of my best letters which makes it an even bigger surprise. I normally write a lot more about the individual, but focused on how well the team was doing. It has made my day. Both boots are signed. What I thought was a signed card from my wife's scans was actually a sig on the rear of a team sheet for the recent Swansea game. The missus was surprised - she thought it was something we had ordered for our daughter at Christmas until she opened the package. 🙂

#28 - lol. 🙂 I do not have much space, so have very few unusual signed items like this. In fact, only a drumhead stands out, apart from some extra large books that do not fit shelves.
