More the main collections today.
Richard E Grant - 22 days
Richard has been good to me and signed a few times now. This latest request was for his last two appearances in Doctor Who (Bells Of St John and Name Of The Doctor). The first was just a fleeting appearance on a computer monitor.
I also won a charity auction to get a signed Khali Best EE card. He may well start replying soon, but Kelly and I make monthly donations to different mental health charities, so as this was for a branch of Mind, I had Kelly's blessing to land this and donate to a great cause at the same time.

I was chatting to someone else about EE replies recently Matt. I did notice that replies from people with new cards tend to come in clumps every three months approximately. I speculated whether this ties in with contracts as I believe they set contracts in 3 month blocks. We had noticed the trend of many with new cards to sign for charity only before deciding whether to sign for fans or not. The eBay greed definitely puts people off after their initial enthusiasm. Also, this article from Feb is amusing in light of the in person you have and a charity doodle/sig I have seen - http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/greedy-fans-cash-in-on-success-people-1679784

thats interesting then thanks for that info. I always assumed that the contracts were on a yearly basis so it explains now why we never saw replies from some the likes of Shavani Ghai spring to mind as she wasn't in the soap too long im guessing 6 months max. Im sure though eventually we may see replies although the link you've provided is a good read and I can see why some may not sign but the best way around it which im sure you've said before is to firstly dedicate everything and secondly flood the market then that way it drives the price down and the autograph is less sought after, think you mentioned this with Barbara Windsor and Wendy Richard. Problem as that piece states though she doesnt have time for signing due to filming and school work which will be a problem for most of the younger children in the show hence why the castcards are more rare because they don't have time to sign not too much they can really do with that other than either not sign at all or like I mentioned before dedicate everything when they do find time
