Touching letter from Mrs Young

Some of you may remember I was lucky enough to get a reply from former Manchester City striker Neil Young a few weeks before he died.On Saturday I was surprised to receive a letter from his widow Carmen thanking me for my letter and donation and sending me a signed photo she had of Neil.

I was very touched to receive this as I'm sure she has other more important things to do,and I will be writing back to thank her for her kind words.

Well I read the first page and half of the 2nd......cant read anymore...so sad. it's so special when you find someone to spend all your life with....what a wonderful lady to have thought of you whilst obviously she was still grieving....

And all those ****************  running around that should be 3ft under!!! He always takes the good 'uns first!

Rob, mate. That has to be one of the most touching letter's i have ever read. For Mrs Young to write it, must have taken a lot of strength.

Just as an update,I have written back to Mrs Young thanking her for her letter and wishing her and her family my best for the future.

It was one of those times when you don't really know what to say,but hopefully it will help Mrs Young in knowing that people will never forget Neil.
