Lost post claims - I was chasing up a lost post claim submitted on 01st December, and was told they are only just up to claims submitted on 29th November as of today, so if you have any in the system, there is an obvious delay to be expected.
Certificates Of Posting - If you are not aware, the paper certifcate of postings that can be filled out have been phased out, and post offices are just using up any old stock left. If you need a cert, you need to get the person at the till to print you a cert for each package you post. I did this for just four packages this morning, and it was not quick. When I chased up the lost package claim, I asked about this as well, and was told that if we print our own forms with the full details, and take them along to the PO, they can be stamped/signed, and will be accepted as proof of postage. This is a relief, as I like to do my own forms in advance of posting to save time.
