Duncan Welbourne - 7 days

Duncan is a true Watford legend. He held the appearances record until Luther overtook him. Played well over 400 games for Watford and included a run of 280 consecutive league appearances.

Duncan kindly signed my 8x5 Watford card, 4x6 player photo and sent a lovely note.

As an aside, I have recently been sending out 4x6 pics printed on Xerox photo paper my brother recommended. To be blunt, despite being 260gsm it is shite paper. Many pens really struggle on it. I have just received an order for Mirror photo paper which I used to use and never had problems with. Lesson learned - stick with what works.

Well done Nigel another Watford legend and a really nice letter . My Celtic replies have dried up a bit I have a few out there but none are coming back . I hope you get the problem with you paper sorted out mate .

Great reply Nigel,I had a similar letter back from ex Middlesbrough player Billy Ashcroft years ago where he also put in his mobile number,and I called him and had a quick chat while thanking him for his reply.
