My wife Valerie had a night out with work collegues on Friday over at the Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium in Manchester. Sit down meal and watch and bet on the dogs in the resteraunt they have...good evening had by all and a few quid down the drain. Sat at a table nearby was former boxing world chamion Ricky "Hitman" Hatton who signed the race programme...Val did well as when was on Stanley's ground last season he refused to sign anything for anyone......Nice one Val.
Richard John "Ricky" Hatton, MBE (born 6 October 1978) is an English retired professional boxer who is also a boxing promoter.
He is a former WBA (Super), IBF, IBO and The Ring Light Welterweight Champion, and WBA Welterweight Champion. After losing his last fight to Manny Pacquiao, Hatton put his career on a long hiatus, with rumours of a comeback circulating the media. However, on 7 July 2011, Hatton announced his retirement from boxing. On 14 September 2012, more than three years after his last fight, Hatton confirmed his comeback to professional boxing; after losing his first match on 24 November 2012, he announced his final retirement

Well done to Val for getting his sig. I remember his reluctance to sign for you before. Maybe you're not as pretty as your wife. ![]()
