On 4/28/12, I wrote Richard Griffiths (Harry Potter) with a TTM autograph request. I enclosed SSAE, 3x5 card for signing, and $2 for currency exchange/postage. Received his "reply" today, 5/21/12. Instead of my 3x5, he wrote this on the back of my letter, and I quote: "Am I Right? You want me to drive 6 miles to a money exchange for $2-THEN go to a post office & buy $8 of Airmail AND send a signed photo? I am NOT a charity.....GET A LIFE!
I'm sorry, but man does not read his mail correctly and, quite honestly, is a jerk. I apologize for my outburst, but I believe this man HATES fanmail. 3 of 3 received today.

nothing new with that but worth keeping I guess whilst its something different. He doesnt like money being sent though has to be an s.a.s.e with english stamps on otherwise you dont get a reply, I managed anyway no problems with him a couple of weeks ago

He has a reputation for being spikey, but I consider this an interesting success. It's his handwriting, so still an autograph. He also has a point, even if aggressive with it. 🙂

He is noted for a bad attitude. I can't help but like him though!

Lol. I've heard about his attitude towards autograph collectors and that's one reason I haven't bothered writing to him. (I know, I'm a coward). I think this a great reply. So very him.

A reply is a reply after all...I'd keep hold of that.

I don't plan on "binning" it, that's for sure
