....but not the Ray Charles you're thinking of. This is an old request to Ray Charles who is best known as a TV and film composer. "The Other Ray Charles" worked as the music consultant on The Muppet Show. Last year Ray was awarded The ASCAP Foundation Life in Music Award for his outstanding accomplishments as a composer and arranger of music for Radio and Television.

I didn't realise Ray is nearly 96. I am very grateful that he took the time to write the note - he obviously has difficulty writing.

U.S stamps get to live another day – I like the extra postage Ray added – a Ray Charles stamp!
