R.I.P Gordon West

Gordon West (24 April 1943 - 10 June 2012) was an English professional football goalkeeper. Gordon made 3 International caps in a famous career which also included a long stint at Everton. He passed away on 10 June following a long illness.

Gordon was part of the 40 man squad for the 1966 world cup West won three caps for England, though turned down a place in the 1970 FIFA World Cup squad because he wanted to stay at home with his family.
