Picked a couple up yesterday.

2 finds yesterday...I'll save one for Sunday......This is the 2nd of these I have found signed since I have been trawling the charity shops for signed books!  "Althorp" The Story of an English house signed and dated by Earl Charles Spencer.

Charles Edward Maurice Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, DL (born 20 May 1964), styled Viscount Althorp between 1975 and 1992, is a British peer, brother of Diana, Princess of Wales and maternal uncle of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge He is an author, print journalist and broadcaster

Unread condition first edition from 1998. This was £1 from a charity shop in Oswaldtwiatle...just up the road from me....the second find was also in the same shop.

Nice find that Alex. His books and the interest in them and their value has baffled me a bit in recent years. I think he has written some really nice books that are fascinating and quite classy. With his obvious family connection there should be a little more interest in him, and his work. For a few years now his signed books have struggled to sell on ebay with some selling for pennies. The price seems to be getting better, and sales are now hitting the tenner mark. I personally think they should be work a lot more, but it is a fickle market.
