Very pleased with getting these back signed as I had been trying to track Phil down for a while.He was always a good signer IP,but i never got my cards signed by him.Took a couple of weeks via a private address.

Phil played more than 700 games in goal for Walsall,QPR,West Ham and Ipswich Town between 1968-1991.

He was unfortunate to be playing at the same time as Shilton,Clemence and Corrigan and only gained one England cap against Portugal in 1974.He would have won a second during a game against Wales in 1976,manager Don Revie said Parkes would play the second-half, but at half-time with the score still at 0–0 Revie decided to keep Ray Clemence on. After the game Parkes went home and said to his wife he would never make himself available for England again

Brilliant success Rob - fabulous signed pics. A really nice guy. Met him a few times back in the days when I did not collect autographs. He used to join Paul Goddard for drinks at our local social club when Paul lived down my street. Dave Beasant was another who popped along also.
