Peter Dobing ex Stoke City - ttm 12/10

Sent team photo and two index cards to Peter Dobing 3/10 received back today 12/10, all signed. Peter's was the third sig on the team photo after Gordon Banks and Alan Bloor.
Peter Dobing's career spanned the years 1955-1973, playing for three clubs, Blackburn R. 1955-61 (179 app 88 gls), Man City 1061-63 (82 app 31 gls), Stoke City 1963-73 (307 app 82 gls). In 1960, Peter was part of the Blackburn side which reached the FA Cup final only to lose to Wolves. In his first season at Stoke they reached the League Cup final only to lose to Leicester City 4-3 on aggregate. Peter captained Stoke when they won the 1972 League Cup by beating the favourites Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley. His playing career came to an end in 1973 after he broke his leg. In retirement he worked in the pottery industry.
