On Monday I saw a piece in a local paper saying Patti Smith was doing a Gig locally, one of only 2 here in the UK in 2013. Penned a letter out to her VV on Tuesday with 4 index cards asking if she would be happy to sign a couple and her regular band member Tony Shaunahan who was on stage with her to sign the other two. Today all Four cards have been returned signed...Certainly 2 by Patti (On the left of the 1st photo) the 2 on the right look similar but not the same, having only seen one example of Tony's graph I don't think these are by him and all 4 could indeed be by Patti Smith...really pleased with this reply as I remember Patti back from the good old days of the Punk Scene back in the mid '70's.
Patricia Lee "Patti" Smith (born December 30, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter, poet and visual artist, who became a highly influential component of the New York City punk rock movement with her 1975 debut album Horses.
Called the "Godmother of Punk", her work was a fusion of rock and poetry.
