Jess received this absolutely fantastic autograph from Barbara Mandrell asked if we could send her a photo etc to autograph and she said she'd do it for nothing just wanted Jess address which I thought was so nice :-x
Barbara Mandrell everybody....Opry Member
These we purchase from Ebay I'm more into the older autographs than Jess so these are more for me.....I hate to think the older Artists will be forgotton if we dont save some of the memrobilia from years ago....
Mr Lone Pine and his wife Betty Cody they were Country Singers and I especially like the Family Photo
And Last but not Least Mr Tex Ritter now he has played the Opry and sings my husbands favourite song from "High Noon" Do not forsake me Oh my Darling....

Hello Jane -- Some superb results there. I'm really impressed with the Tex Ritter, an outstanding singer and cowboy star of the silver screen. The Lone Pine & Betty Cody signatures are also wonderful. The name you are looking for is Mervin "Merv" Shiner, an early hillbilly singer -- and pretty good steel guitar player. He was born in the early 1920s and as far as I know is still alive, but he will be in his ninties now. I will get some more detailed information, and photographs, to you by email when time permits.
Meet Merv, " Ain't much of hand at lovin' " Shiner

Jane/Patrick.
I lifted this info from the steel guiar forum.
I was asked to post this for Merv (Merv had the million seller on "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" and now lives in Tampa, Florida).
"Shirley Shiner Beloved wife of County music great Merv Shiner..Their marriage of 38 years was a love story, I know of no other couple as devoted to one another as Merv and Shirley. May God welcome Shirley as she in on her final journey to be with the Lord and to someday be re-united with Country Music Great Merv a wonderful and dedicated husband...My heart goes out to Merv for his loss, Shirley passed on April 26th and was buried on May 6th in London Ontario...For those of you who knew Merv I ask for your sincere prayers to comfort Merv and those who didn't offer a silent prayer in memory of Shirley"
