Interesting charity project that keeps books in circulation instead of being pulped for landfill. One of the centres opened up locally this week, so I popped in yesterday. Anyone can take three books for free. Each book is then stamped on the title page, so you know it came from this project. I picked up three hardbacks - an Ian Wright bio from the 90s and brand new hardbacks from Jeff Stelling and Willie Thorne - their latest books!
I will be dropping off some books to them at the weekend.

Do they post the books out or do you have to call into the shop to get them

You really are one of the laziest gits I have come across on any autograph forum. You never contribute comments to anyone's posts unless you want something.
In this instance, I provided a link to their website.
GO FRIGGING LOOK!!!!!

It will probably become the main place I donate books to rather than somewhere I get books from. This week's visit was more about learning how it worked.

Not surprisingly this did not last long. The shop closed a couple of weeks ago. People happily took the books, but only a few of us took some back. The downside is that now stacks of these books with the stamp are in circulation, and I am seeing them surface for sale in other charity shops.I imagine this will be widespread around all areas that had these give away shops.
Worth checking carefully if you grab a book to make sure it does not have one of these stamps. I would never dream of sending one of these to anyone for signing - that would be tacky.
