Mike Stringfellow ex Leicester C - ttm 30/9

Sent via Leicester C. FC on 16/9 received back today 30/9. Mike signed my Leicester City 1966/67 team photo and three index cards and also sent a nice little message. He is the sixth player to sign the team photo.

Mike started his career at Mansfield Town in 1960, playing 65 times and scored 12 goals. In 1962, aged 18, he moved to Leicester City for £25,000, the highest transfer fee ever paid for an 18yr old at the time. He played for Leicester between 1962 and 1975, making 377 appearances and scoring 98 goals as a winger. In 1963 he was a member of the leicester side that lost the FA Cup Final to Man Utd. In the following season he was part of the Leicester side that won the League Cup, beating Stoke City 4-3 on aggregate. In 1975 he quit the professional game and finished his career with non-league Nuneaton Boro.
