I sent two cards to ex Celt Bobby Lennox last week , I got both cards back signed today .
Bobby "Buzz Bomb " Lennox first signed for Celtic on the 5th September 1961 and he made his debut in a 2-1 home win against Dundee on 3rd March 1962 he left on 29 March 1978 to go to Houston Hurricane but he came back to us on 19 September 1978 and he stayed until May 1980 .
Bobby Lennox was one of the greatest players to wear The Hoops his career spanned three decades playing in the 60's 70's and the 80's he played 529 times and made 79 appearances as a substitute Bobby scored 304 goals for Celtic . He has won the most medals ever for a Celtic player winning 11 League medals 8 Scottish Cup medals 5 League Cup medals and best of all a European cup winners medal , he also won a European Cup runners up medal . Bobby Charlton was one of his greatest admirers stating that if he had someone like Lennox playing beside him then he could have gone on forever and also as "one of the best strikers that I have ever seen".
