Really pleased with this purchase as he's been on my wants list for years!Lester Finch was a one club man.He started with Barnet in approx 1928(records are vague) and played with them until 1945 when he became there manager untill 1954.He was always an amatuer and represented Great Britain at the 1936(Hitler) Olympic games in Berlin, and gained 24 amateur caps in total..He played 1 game for England in a Wartime (unrecognised) International against Wales in 1941.But obviouly his interest to me was that he played for Chelsea during WWII as a guest player.
