Latest replies,purchases and apologies

Firstly,apologies for not visiting the forum much lately,but due to work and other commitments haven't been able to drop in as much as before,well done everyone for their recent replies and I hope to get around to commenting on each.

Firstly my purchases,a signed Alex Ferguson autobiography which at £35 I didn't think was too bad.

My second purchase was a signed Usain Bolt copy,and many thanks to the member who tipped me off on this one.

The ex player replies-

My first was from ex Millwall,Shrewsbury and Middlesborough player Alf Wood's daughter who sent my card back explaining that unfortunately Alf was now in a home with dementia and could no longer sign and as he's only 68,it's no age for this illness

Former Crystal Palace player David Payne  signed my cards and sent back a letter as well (he runs the ex Palace players association and had only been speaking to my mate Paul who runs the ex Argyle players association just before he answered my letter)

My next two replies unfortunately signed the reverse of some of the cards instead of the front,but as I've got spares I'll try them again another time.

Ex Notts County and Wrexham player Mick Vinter signed the front on two cards and the back of the other

Ex Everton and Fulham player Ronny Goodlass also signed the back of the card.Seems to be happening with this set as the cards have a blank reverse.Ronny sent a nice letter back as well.

My next reply was from former Stoke and Crewe player Danny Bowers (who did sign the front of the card)with another letter

Finally,a trio of ex Leicester City players,with replies from Frank Worthington,Alan Woolett and Mark Wallington.I still think Franks goal for Bolton which one Match of the Days goal of the season was one of the best I've ever seen.

Good to hear from you Rob, and see your latest brilliant footy successes. Great purchases also. Like me with Doctor Who, you get a lot of letters back from your footy requests. Your passion clearly shines in your letters of request.

Good to hear from you, Rob and what a fantastic set of replies. Very sad to hear about Alf Wood and at such a relatively young age too. Nice of his daughter to reply to your letter though. Lovely sig from Frank Worthingon.
