Hiya guys,
Firstly i would like to say a big thank you to Ralph on this one. He text me the other day and gave me this legends address. Cheers mate, appreciate it:)
Today i found my self, not in Manchester but in Leicestershire. So i decided to chance my luck by knocking on the door of this Manchester United legend. I parked up just down the road from his house and got my shirt and sharpie out. I then walked the short distance to the garden gate and a very well dressed gent was at his car. He looked at me and i said "Mr Whitefoot" He said " Speaking" I said, "Sorry to bother you Sir but i wondered if you would please sign my shirt for me"? He looked at me rather bewildered and said "Blimey! Sign your shirt" "You had better come in, you are lucky to catch me i was just going out".
We then went into the house, and then his wife came in and he explained to her what i requested:) He then took my shirt and examined all of the signatures, asking me to name them all for him. "Denis Law!!" I bet he was difficult"? Quite the contrary i said, he has been really pleasant every time i have visited him" "Really" He said. Then i reached David Herd, and he began to tell me what great friends they had been, vertually inseparable he said. "How is David ? , last i Heard he was not in the best of health" I explained to him that David is suffering from Dimenture and that every time i go to see him, he shows me his garden shed:) Once, he showed me it 3 times in one visit. He then asked "Where would you like it signed, there's not much room left" He said laughing:) I then thanked him and wished him and his wife well. He said "No..... Thank you. You have made my day, it's nice to be remembered:) This made me feel really good. The fact that a legend was thankfull that i paid him a visit:) I then left him to go about his business.
Thank you Mr Jeff Whitefoot, Manchester United 1950-57. 95 appearances in all comp's:)

It's an absolute pleasure to be doing something for you for once my friend. That's a heart warming Knock knock story, thanks for sharing it.
By the way, that shirt looks fantastic. We have a photo of our daughter with her Grans specs on and her eyes crossed on our fridge door, every time I see it I have to smile, and trust me I open that fridge door a lot :-D. Well that "Cheeky bugger" signature by Nobby Stiles has exactly the same effect on me.
Glad it went well mate,
Ralph.
