Hiya Guys,
Sorry i didn't post this yesterday, but had mates round for a pint or two..... or three 😉
Any way, yesterday i found myself in the Borders of Scotland, but on the way up i had to call into a customer in Middlesborough. I rang Carl to get the address of this legend as i didn't have my lap top with me, so thanks for helping me out mate:)
Once i had the address i headed off. To say that this house was easy to find is an understatemant, IT IS BLOODY HUGE 🙂 It stood out on the horizon like a monument:) I parked up, and with shirt in hand i walked into the gated propety. The driveway was enormous and all black shiney block paved. The Mansion was limestone coloured, with a huge front porch and pillars either side of a massive front door. Ithink i counted 4 sets of windows either side of the front door.:)
Anyway, i pulled back on the door knocker and RAT TA TAT TAT:) i waited............ And waited. Nobody answered, so i left and continued up to the borders.:)
On the way back down, i decided to try again;) This time i pulled back on the knocker and the door was answered:) By non other than one of United's greatest ever deffenders, Mr Gary Pallister:) "Can i help you" he said." Sorry to bother you Gary, but would you mind adding your signature to my shirt please" "Of course i will" He said. He then took my shirt and began reading the signature's asking "Who is that one" etc. I had to go through them all with him and he was impressed by the amount of signature's i had managed to get. "I have never seen so many on one shirt" he said.
He then asked me to hold the shoulders whilst he pulled the bottom to make the shirt taught. He then signed it To knock knock best wishes Gary Pallister.
Then to my amazement he informed me that if i had been 10 mins earlier i could have had Clayton Blackmore on it too as he had just left!! Gobsmacked I then thanked him for signing a squad signed programme for me TTM, he said "I get quite a lot of mailed requests" and he smiled. I then shook his hand and thanked him for his time, and wished him all the best for 2011.
Thank you Gary Pallister. 4 Premier League title's, 3 FA Cup's, 1 Football League Title, 5 Charity Shield's, 1 UEFA Cup winners cup and 1 UEFA Super Cup.:)
