James Ashton played for Chelsea from 2000-2013 as a youth team player. He was forced to retire from the game aged 21 in 2013 after breaking his back, tearing his ACL ligament in his knee and rupturing both his calf muscles! I Wrote to James at a London address of his company(clip craze)which he created in 2014 in January.Assuming he never recieved letter I gave it up.Tonight whilst having a Barbecue with my family he turns up with his girlfriend to deliver my autographed card personally. He has just moved to Brentwood(about 10 miles from us) and is setting up an office in Chelmsford where we ilive! Couldn't believe it.stayed for half hour and has offered to help me with more Youth team players that he is still mates with.Gobsmacked !!!

What a fantastic response. That must have been a wonderful surprise and good of him to offer his help with the Youth Team.
That's an awful list of injuries though. What a sad way to end a career.
