Hi guys
This weekend saw me add a record 8 signatures added to my Stormtrooper helmet when I headed down to Birmingham NEC for their rather large show
I purchased Priority Access tickets to gain entry at 0900 .... it appeared that everybody else had the same idea
After getting into the show I headed to the autograph area and figured out who was seated where - my first signature was Gerald Home who is very active on Rebelscum and continual strives for accuracy and understanding of who is in what costumes and when .... an absolute pleasure to add his signature
Gerald Home ( Tessek + Mon Cal Officer )
Next was Angus MacInnes ( Gold Leader ) .... I had seen him in Orlando with no queue, but the mess that was Topps Authentics meant I couldn't just walk up and pay my money - I would have had to go into the customer services queue for 2 hours to buy a ticket. Happily I was able to catch up with him here
Angus MacInnes ( Gold Leader )
Next up was Hugh Spight who plays a Gamorrean Guard - we had an excellent chat about family history as his family originates from South Ferriby which is just along the Humber from where I live. I suggested he contacted the organisers of Hull Comic Con to try and get an invite for 2018
Hugh Spight ( Gamorrean Guard )
Having realised that Warwick Davis wasn't at his table yet I pushed my luck and went for another signature - John Morton who plays Dak along with Boba Fett in a Cloud City Scene. Spent a wonderful 1/2 hour talking with him about Durham, Music and A Bridge Too Far .... an absolute pleasure
John Morton ( Dak Ralter + Boba Fett )
The 1/2 hour chat was awesome ... but it meant I was at the back of Warwick's queue when it formed. I stood for 90 mins and was told he was going for a photo shoot soon but they weren't sure where the cut off point would be .... I was correct, he signed the lady in front of me and then apologised and headed off !! He was gone about 20 minutes and came back to sign my helmet - very apologetic and a great experience. What was also great was that his signatures was £20 - I've paid a lot more for a lot less pleasant experience
Warwick Davis ( Wicket )
After such a long time queing we went for two quick hits before the final queue. George Roubicek was next, always had a soft spot for Imperial Officers and Commander Praji is no exception
George Roubicek ( Commander Praji )
Penultimate signature for the day was to add another Rebel Pilot to the helmet - Jack Klaff ( amazingly neat signature )
Jack Klaff ( Red 4 ? )
So that is all of the signing photos I have ....
The eagle eyed amongst you will notice I said 8 signatures but I've only posted 7 photos .... the final signer had a large sign saying no photos. My dad tried to sneak a photo and was told by a burly security guard not to take any pictures .... so he tried again from further away .... and was told again 🙂
So no photo of number eight - but his signature is front and centre in the picture below .... see if you can work it out

Back
So that's 23 signature so far - I've got Manchester lined up in December so should be at 25 by Xmas
Now I need some guidance from you guys - people are always asking me what it's worth ( mainly the wife and family ) ... it is priceless to me but I know how much it's cost - what would you guys estimate in terms of value in it's current state ?
Thanks for the look

Some great additions Mal, Helmet is looking really good
A shame Billy's people wouldn't let you Dad take photos, he has been pretty good in the past, I've been lucky enough to get a couple of table photos with him
I've honestly no idea of what it might be worth, there certainly aren't too many than come up for sale with this many signatures on. I'll keep an eye out though and will let you know if I see anything similar

That really is a stunning piece of memorabilia, Mal. Great set of additions and I look forward to seeing further sigs.
As you say, it's priceless to you but I should think it's worth a tidy amount.

That's an incredible piece of memorabillia. I have to admit I'm not a huge Star Wars person so no idea what it would be worth, but it's a hell of an item whatever the value. Congratulations.
