Hi all,
First of all I hope you are all well. I just wanted to drop by and say hello and to let you know I have not forgotten you. I dont really have any successes to report as I have not been able to send any out due to a lack of stamp money.
I have seen some great replies on the forum though, Marvin Hagler, George Cole, David Essex and my favourite has to be the Alexie Sayle result, well done everyone!
I do have a bit of good news to share though, after what feels like a very long struggle I have finally found work! Sadly it is not what I would like to do but it is work all the same. For the last couple of weeks I have been working in a slaughter house throwing dead animals about - pigs to be exact. It stinks, it is heavy back breaking work but at least it is work and pays wages too and as a slight bonus I lost 4lb in weight on my first shift alone! lol
So now I am hoping that once all the bills are paid I will have a few coppers left over to buy some stamps with and get back into writing and collecting again.
Well done on all your successes, I hope you get many more.
Best wishes,
Steve.

Congrats on the job Steve. When I was made redundant in July 1999, it was December 2000 before I got a job again, so I know you must be relieved to find something. Keep looking around and you will find something that suits you even better in time.
