Harold Rhodes ex Derbyshire/England cricketer

Sent "Old England Cricket XI programme, FDC and index cards to Harold Rhodes ex Derbyshire cricketer on 1/6. I received the programme back signed on 8/6 but unfortunately the envelope was open and the FDC  and index cards had gone missing. Shame as the FDC had been signed by the other 10 cricketers from the progamme. Somebody will gain a nice piece there!

Anyway, Harold Rhodes was a right arm bat, right arm fast bowler, who played for Derbyshire between 1953-75, playing 322 first class matches, scoring 2,427 runs, taking 1,073 wickets, with best figures of 7/38. He also played two tests for England against India in 1959, taking 9 wickets with best figures of 4/50.

He is the elenth ex cricketer to sign the programme.

Shame about the missing items - but you could write to the Royal Mail Returned Letters Section at Belfast to see if has the items have turned up there.

Shame about the items going missing i have had loads go astray this year which has put me off a bit ,but will start sending out again after i have moved house.

Shame about the missing items, sadly one of the risks we take in this hobby. Check with your local sorting office - they will probably have a guy who looks after anything that falls out of envelopes. My local office has a guy who does this, so I am sure others do. Got to be worth a shot. Nice success with the prog and your football prog success also, they look great.

Real shame about the FDC. It's worth going to the sorting office. You never know... The programme is looking great.
