Michael Crawford OBE - 25 days via theatre
I already have Michael's brilliant biography signed from a charity shop find, but had never written to him before which is more of a surprise to myself than anything, as he has long been a favourite. He kindly signed my two 6x4 photos, and sent a signed letter. Very pleased with this nice reply. As you can see I left deliberate spaces on the Some Mothers pic, so that will be off again. I love Condorman, a great Disney film.
John Connelly - 4 days
Received some help from a good friend (Thank you!) with how to contact John. Chuffed to bits to get both my books back signed. This is the first time my new United book has gone to someone other than the original book's signers. He is the 6th sig on that, and the 3rd sig on my Blackburn book. An English footy great.

#7 - It's a personal thing, but I just use normal post. I rarely use recorded as it is a waste of time - post gets lost just as much as normal post and as far as Royal Mail is concerned it is no different. Having a signature upon delivery makes no difference. Special Delivery is the only guaranteed service, but is expensive. Both recorded and special also add the extra problem of needing someone to be there when delivered. With recorded, a lot of posties do not always leave cards saying a delivery was attempted.
I discovered John Connelly's sense of humour when I got home. He signed a page inside the Blackburn book that has an old 1960's picture of him signing autographs - quite appropriate and amusing. 🙂 He has a lovely signature.

Brilliant Nigel, The Michael Crawford 6x4's are a great reply and what a nice letter back from him.
But the John Connelly reply is awesome..I really like the books...He also signed a small pic in the book I had back from him a while ago..The Utd Book has bettered the previous one now and what a Book...The Blackburn book has plenty of miles to travel over the months no doubt..Excellent day for you.
Thanks to the member for passing the info to Nigel..Cheers.
