Continuing an enjoyable week in the hobby for me, another reply. With the denizens of the forum being footy biased, this success may not be as boring as some of the others I have been getting of late. 🙂
Mat Sadler - 17 days c/o Shrewsbury Town
Back on the 16th May I received an eBay purchase of a 2007/2008 Mat Sadler match issue Watford shirt for £9.72 that was autographed by 11 of the 2010/11 squad, but not Mat.
Despite being at the club since 2007, Mat has spent most of his time out on loan,and will be released this summer. He is a great player, but like Nathan Ellington who will also be released this summer, a victim of the club's horrible financial situation. I enjoyed Mat's time in the first team at Watford.
I sent the shirt to Mat the day after I received it, as it was only right he should autograph his own shirt. He seemed to appreciate this from his note. Pleased as punch that Mat is rightly the 12th signature on this shirt. He also sent a short note.
I wish him well wherever he plays next season, and know that any club taking him on will get a great player.
