bought a batch of 1980/81 Chelsea autographs from Ebay and jimmy Clare was among them.Absolutely chuffed with this as it now means I have every Chelsea 1st team player back to 1928(plus a lot more earlier ones to) Jimmy Clare made his one and only appearance for Chelsea's 1st team as a substitute for Clive Walker when he came on in the 2nd half of the away game at Bolton on 4/10/80.Chelsea won 3-2.Clare had been a prolific scorer for the reserves but this was the only chance given to him by manager Geoff Hurst.He moved to Charlton the following year and stayed there a season before never being heard of again!
