Don Megson ex Sheff Weds - ttm 12/10

Sent team photo, two index cards and one other photo card to Don Megson on 16/9 received today 12/10. Don kindly signed all items sent and also got son Gary to sign the family photo on the back of the team photo!! Nice one Don....
Don played professional football for two clubs; Sheff Weds 1959-69 (442 app 6 gls) & Bristol Rovers 1969-71 (31 app 1 gl).
Don was a left back who made his Weds debut in Nov 1959 eventually becoming Captain. He led Sheff Weds to Wembley in the FA Cup final of 1966 only to lose to Everton 3-2. He led the team on a lap of honour after the match, the first to do so as a losing captain.
After finishing playing in 1971, he went on to manage Bristol Rovers from 1972-77, winning the old Watney Cup in 1972. He later managed the Portland Timbers in the NASL from 1978-80 and then coached at Bournemouth for seven months in 1983
