Dick Malone ex Sunderland - ttm 7/10

Sent one programme & two index cards to Richard "Dick" Malone on 14/9 received back 6/10. Dick kindly signed all items sent and also added a nice reply to the bottom of my letter and and a compliment slip. Great reply.

Scotsman Dick Malone signed for Sunderland in 1970 after playing 163 games for Ayr Utd. He played for Sunderland from 1970 to 1977, making 236 appearances, scoring 2 goals. He was a member of the Sunderland side that beat Leeds Utd 1-0 in the 1973 FA Cup Final. In 1977 he signed for Hartlepool Utd, making 36 appearances scoring 2 goals. In 1978 he left Hartlepool for Blackpool where he played 49 games, scoring 1 goal, before returning to Scotland in 1980, signing for Queen of the South. He is now the Chairman of the Sunderland Former Players Association.
