Charity shop finds 1 and 2...and only £1.50

RPCA charity shop did me proud again  yesterday. 2 signed books for £1.50. First up  for a £1 is local lad Greame Fowler's sporting Diary from 1988. Cricket Pro, Born and bred in Accrington too. First Eglish batsman to score a double century in  a test match in India.

Graeme "Foxy" Fowler (born 20 April 1957, Accrington, Lancashire) is a former English professional cricketer, who played for Lancashire, England, and later for Durham. He appeared in 21 Test matches and 26 ODIs for England, averaging 35.32 in his Test batting career. The cricket writer Colin Bateman noted: "a risk-taking left-hander, Fowler rarely bored anyone with his batting

On the same shelf was " Emporor The field of swords" signed by Author Conn Iggulden, First edition from 2005. This was only 50p.

Conn Iggulden  (born 1971) is a British author who mainly writes historical fiction. He also co-authored The Dangerous Book for Boys.

Very nice addition to your cricketing collecton, Alex and 50p for a signed hardback first edition...can't go wrong with that.
